China Imports and Exports Data – A 2016 Report on China Trade

China rank top in global exports while it is second largest country in imports. China exports represent 13.2% of global export value while China Imports represents 9.9% of global import value. China is followed by United States of America in the list of top countries in global exports while USA ahead to China in imports. China’s Top Exports in 2016

The electronics industry in China is growing rapidly. Electronics is the pillar of success of exports and it is the largest industry in China. China shipped USD 2097 billion worth of goods around the globe during the year 2016. China exports accounted for about 10% of total Chinese economic output. China has highly positive net exports in the global trade of machinery (mainly computers). The major exports from China are electronics, machinery, furniture, textiles, optical & photographic instruments etc.

China did sales of USD 553 billion from the exports of electrical machinery and its equipment. A growth of 3% has seen in export sales of this product between 2012 and 2016. As per the China export statistics, machinery exports registered USD 343 billion in 2016. Machinery exports declined by 6% between 2015 and 2016 while it is declined by 2% during 2012-2016. China export of machinery is 18.2% in total global exports of this product. Furniture exports from China recorded USD 87 billion while it is USD 74 billion for textiles exports in 2016. China exports of furniture and textiles declined by 11% during 2015-16. While its share in world exports is 37.7% and 34.2% respectively.

China Exports Highest to USA

China export to various foreign countries across the world as it rank top in global exports. China is a global hub for manufacturing. It is the largest manufacturing economy in the world and largest exporter of goods around the globe. United States of America and Hong Kong are the main markets for China Export Industry. China’s Top Imports in 2016

China is second largest country in global imports and it plays a prominent role in international trade.  It recorded USD 1587 billion import value during the year 2016. The top imports of China are electronics and integrated circuits, mineral fuels (crude petroleum), machinery and iron ores. Electronics is also the most importing product in China which recorded USD 412 billion during 2016. China imports electronics items for its re-export and then export after they have undergone further processing or manufacture. Electronics imports of China increased by 1% since 2012 while it is down by 4% from 2015 to 2016. Imports in China is 16.6% of the global value for this product.

China received second highest shipments of Mineral fuels which also include mineral oils and products of their distillation. The worth of this product recorded USD 176 billion during 2016. It has seen 20% declined in mineral fuel imports since 2012.

China Imports Maximum from Korea

China’s top import origins are Korea, Japan, Taipei, United States and Germany. Imports of China worth of goods with the value of USD 158 billion from Korea. China did 10% of its imports from Korea only during the year 2016. Let’s take a look at the list of top Chinese imports from Korea.
