EY acted as exclusive financial advisor to BER on its sale to Broviken

EY advised the shareholders of Bygg og Eiendomsrevisjon AS (BER) on its sale to Broviken Gruppen AB, a Swedish-based investment firm.

On 8 August 2023, it was announced that “BER” (BER Bygg og Eiendomsrevisjon AS), a leading competency centre specialising in technical due diligence within the commercial real estate sector and other relevant transactional support, was sold to Broviken (Broviken Gruppen AB), a Swedish-based investment firm.

Established in 2008, BER offers tailored technical advisory services for the commercial real estate market. It holds a unique position as an independent provider of objective, high-quality reports that ensure thorough technical due diligence in real estate transactions. BER's client base includes both private and public entities, such as investors, property owners, property managers, tenants, financial institutions and law firms. BER is the unequivocal market leader within these services in Norway. The Company has 16 employees and was 100% owned by its five partners. Moving forward, BER aims to sustain its robust growth trajectory by focusing on new geographical markets and expanding its product offerings, including venturing into Sweden and providing ESG reports for real estate transactions.

On the other side of the deal, Broviken is a privately-owned business group that invests in Nordic companies within the service sector. It is driven by strong entrepreneurs and management teams. Since its inception in 2018, Broviken has successfully managed SEK 1.4 billion in assets and has made over 25 investments, including add-on acquisitions.
