The search for Latasha Norman,a 20-year-old native of Greenville,Ms. and a 2005 graduate of Greenville-Weston High School,who was an accounting major at Jackson State University student ended in heartbreak for her family and friends Thursday,Nov.29,2007 when police discovered her body in a wooded area in north Jackson,Ms.
Her ex-boyfriend, was arrested a short while later and charged with murder.Oct. 9,2007, Latasha told Pearl police Her ex-boyfriend hit her in a restaurant parking lot.Nov. 13,2007 Latasha is last seen in class at JSU. Her vehicle is later found on campus.Nov. 28,2007 America's Most Wanted was in Jackson to film a segment on Latasha Norman's disappearance. She was described As Smart,Hardworking,very humble and quiet.
She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Patricia Bolden; her father, Danny Bolden both of Greenville, MS; a very devoted grandmother, Bertha Norman; a grandmother Arlena Bolden both of Greenville, MS; eight aunts, eight uncles and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
Jackson State University,has established the Latasha Norman Abuse Prevention Fund to support what will now be called the Latasha Norman Center for Social and Clinical Counseling.
