Country info:  Known from the Rajang Basin in Sarawak, Borneo (Ref. 57780). Recorded from the Danum Valley. Found in deeper, slower water and is always rare, except for one location where it was found in schools of 20 or more. An extremely strong swimmer and good jumper (Ref. 34011). Also Ref. 2060.
