The Eastern Redbud (Cercis canadensis) is a small deciduous tree that is native to the eastern United States. It is known for its stunning display of pink to purple flowers that bloom on bare branches in early spring, before the leaves emerge.

A 2.5-3" Cal tree refers to the diameter of the trunk at a height of 6 inches above the ground, and is a common size for planting.

The Eastern Redbud grows to a height of 20-30 feet and a spread of 25-35 feet. Its heart-shaped leaves are green in the summer, turning yellow in the fall. This tree is a popular choice for ornamental landscaping, as well as for naturalizing in woodland gardens.

When selecting an Eastern Redbud for planting, it is important to choose a healthy specimen with a well-developed root system. Proper planting and care instructions should be followed to give the tree the best chance of thriving in its new home.
