ingredients
- 500 500 g cervelat or 500 g fleischwurst
- 2 eggs, hard boiled
- 1 onion
- 2 large pickles
- 1 small apple
- 200 g gouda cheese or 200 g edam cheese
- 5 tablespoons mayonnaise or 5 tablespoons Miracle Whip
directions
- Finely dice all the ingredients and mix with the mayonnaise.
- Let sit for 30 minutes in the fridge before serving.
- Can be stored in the fridge for about a week.
- Serve on bread (pumpernickel).

I loooooooveee Fleischsalat, and am so glad to see a recipe for it. My father has made this for us all our lives and it rocks! We use Leone and add chopped onions, sweet pickles, and emmental cheese. We use a oil and vinegar dressing - just half and half with some salt and pepper. I have had it with mayo dressing too and it is awesome as well. Thank you for sharing this awesome salad!

Wow! I'm addicted to this stuff! What a great combination! I made this just as written, using bologna and the Gouda cheese. I loved the flavor and crunch from the apple and pickle. It was a hit with the kids, too. It's great on bread, or with crackers or best of all....right out of the bowl! This is a keeper! Thanx so much!
