There's a reason comforting dishes will always top our list — because they're great on good days, but even better on the not-so-great ones. And when you can't call and cancel Monday, having a hearty bowl of pasta to look forward to for dinner is a great idea. You can never go wrong with carbs, right?

So we weren't surprised when we asked Pinterest for their most-pinned pasta recipe, and they came back with this gooey, creamy, bacony (and veggie-packed, believe it or not!) dish from the blog Julia's Album. Julia says she loves "to make hearty, comforting foods" and as a result her blog is filled with "lots of pasta recipes, chicken recipes and recipes with bacon." A girl after our own heart, if you will.

Julia's Chicken and Bacon Pasta with Spinach and Tomatoes in Garlic Cream Sauce is one of her blog's most popular recipes. This stick-to-your-ribs dinner is cheesy and layered with flavor, but certainly easy enough to whip up on a weeknight.

With 2.8 million repins (this one post alone was saved over 404,000 times!) and almost 50,000 shares on Facebook, this recipe's a keeper. (I mean, when bacon's in the mix... forget about it!) But Julia says this is one of her "favorite pasta dishes because it is super colorful, with lots of vegetables." And for even more color, Julia likes to sprinkle the chicken with paprika, which makes the dish even more vibrant.
