Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has matched a Mohamed Salah Premier League goal contribution record with his strike against Wolves on Saturday afternoon. The Gunners flew out of the blocks at Emirates Stadium with Saka opening the scoring after just six minutes and just a few moments later Martin Odegaard doubled the hosts' lead.

Following a 6-0 win against RC Lens in the Champions League, many were hoping for another goal fest in north London with the visit of Wolves and they certainly got that in the opening quarter. The flowing team move finished by Odegaard caught the eye in the first half with Gabriel Jesus celebrating in the arms of Oleksandr Zinchenko after the former Manchester City duo's role in the goal.

As for Saka's strike, an assist for Takehiro Tomiyasu was a huge moment for him as he competes with Ben White for the right-back spot. Alongside that, what Saka did just prior to his knee slide celebration has caused quite the reaction on social media.

Just seconds after seeing the ball nestle in the back of the net, the 22-year-old flicked his legs up near his hips before doing the same on the other side. Saka's celebrations have often left supporters impressed with his latest providing the exact same reaction, as X user @Abookiiii posted: "Where does Saka get these celebrations from??? [Two laughing emojis]."

The calm left-footed finish was Saka's eighth goal of the season in all competitions adding to his 11 assists from 19 games. In league action Saka has now contributed to an Arsenal goal in 10 different games, a feat that has only been achieved by Liverpool's Salah this season.

The Hale End graduate has already matched his assists tally from the previous campaign with that goal against Gary O'Neil's side also taking him seven away from his total for the 2022/23 season. Alongside his Premier League achievement, Saka has also made a huge mark in his debut Champions League campaign.

As revealed by OptaJoe, Saka has become the first player in Champions League history to score and assist in each of his first three home games. Minor injuries have impacted Saka this season with Arteta taking advantage of Arsenal's dominant lead earlier this week to give him a rest, but it was a decision that Saka was far from pleased about.

"Not really [happy to be substituted]. I wanted to play 90 minutes if I’m honest. I understand his decision and now we look ahead to Wolves and I will try to be at my best for that one." And given his impact this afternoon, the extra rest looks to have done him some good.
