Conway: PeopleSoft Gives Ousted CEO Lump Sum Cash Payment

Lack of faith never looked so good. As regular readers of Faces In The News are aware, earlier this month the board of PeopleSoft ousted Chief Executive Craig Conway. The board voiced doubts as to Conway's leadership versus Oracle 's hostile takeover bid--as well as some suspicion Conway's determination to fight might be a bit too personal, as he was once an acolyte of Oracle's aggressive CEO Larry Ellison Larry Ellison . But doubt and suspicion did not change PeopleSoft's policy toward its outgoing leader: Monday PeopleSoft said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that Conway would receive a lump sum cash payment of $3,207,766.33. PeopleSoft had no official comment about the package.
