Autos ferried across Lake Winnisquam when 'Mosquito Bridge' rebuilt

Here is proof that a ferry was used to transport automobiles between the Tilton-Sanbornton and Belmont shores of Lake Winnisquam while one of the ancient wooden 'Mosquito' bridges — seen in the background at left — was being replaced, as noted in last week's 'Then and Now' feature on this page.
