Styphelia triflora

Pink Five-Corners

Family: Epacridaceae

Styphelia triflora is an erect, bushy shrub, to 2m high, producing a magnificent floral display. It is found on sandstone in heath or sheltered understories in woodland, and flowers in profusion in some of the higher rocky ridge areas of the park.

The tubular flowers of Styphelia triflora are light pink, with yellow hairy lobes curled back. The 5 stamens project prominently beyond the tube when the flower is fully open.

The greyish leaves are up to 25mm long, broad, flat, tapering to a sharp pinkish point.

Styphelia triflora flowers from July to October.
