Lomandra suaveolens

Meaning of name: Lomandra is from the Greek words loma, meaning the border of a robe, and andros, meaning man. It refers to the border of the anthers in some species. Suaveolens is a Latin word meaning fragrant.

Distribution: Occurs from Mt Lesueur to Porongorup Range.

Description: A tuft of leaves to 35 centimetres tall. The purple or yellow flowers are borne from April to July.

Notes: Lomandra have distinct male and female plants.
