Clint Gresham opens up about being cut from the Seahawks

Former TCU long snapper Clint Gresham is hoping his story can help others going through disappointment.

Marriage. Two trips to the Super Bowl. The chance to call yourself a professional NFL player.

Former TCU long snapper Clint Gresham has had a lot to celebrate the past two years alone, only to see it cut short when he was released from the Seattle Seahawks this year.

It wasn't easy seeing his professional football career end in a snap. As Gresham writes in a blog post to his new website, ClintGresham.com, the disappointment was real.

All of us are going to have heartbreaks.  You can’t avoid it. As much as I didn’t want to feel the pain, I knew that I needed to.  I experienced a loss and it hurt.  Instead of shoving those emotions deep down where no one could see them, I opened them up to trusted family and friends.  I hated it.  But you know what?  Eventually the sting started to lesson.  We can spend our whole lives running from emotions and unless you let yourself feel it, you will never heal it.

It was a heartbreaking experience, but like a good Frog, Gresham isn't staying down. He's continuing to book speaking engagements at conferences, churches and the like. Booking information can be found here.
