Former Herman Miller CEO joins Room’s board

NEW YORK — Room, a provider of adaptive office solutions, has named Brian Walker, former CEO of Herman Miller, to its board of directors.

Walker, who served as CEO of Herman Miller for 14 years, joined the board last month. He currently serves as a partner of strategic leadership at private equity firm Huron Capital.

“Brian’s 14-year tenure at the helm of Herman Miller will be an invaluable asset for us,” said Brian Chen, co-founder and CEO of Room. “We are excited to add Brian’s voice to our board as we chart a new course for how companies can best adapt to the new world of work we are entering.”

Since its debut in 2018, Room has designed and released a suite of modular, sustainably developed workplace solutions, including the Phone BoothMeeting RoomOpen Meeting Room and Focus Room.

Room has offices globally, including New York, London, Berlin and Sydney, and it has more than  4,500 customers ranging from budding startups to Fortune 500 companies, including Nike, J.P. Morgan, Google, Roche, Samsung and Salesforce.
