Ranunculus aconitifolius is a pretty, spring-flowering plant, bearing masses of loose sprays of single, white buttercups, each with a golden yellow eye, contrasting with fresh green, finely divided foliage. A vigorous grower, it will easily spread among other plants, and makes fantastic ground cover.
Ranunculus aconitifolius thrives in damp soils, and will tolerate extremely wet conditions. It's ideal for growing in bog gardens and around the edges of ponds.
For best results grow in full sun to partial shade, and avoid letting the soil dry out. Plants can be quite vigorous, so it's a good idea to dig up and divide clumps in autumn.
