Här, på vägen mellan Gammelgarn och Ardre, finns en fin liten bro invid vägen, och en bit in i skogen ligger naturreservatet Russvätar. Vid rekognoseringen inför denna cache upptäckte vi ytterligare en attraktion på platsen: i den lilla ån som flyter under bron bor en jättelik orm! Den låg och solade halvt i vattnet bara meter från vårt tilltänkta gömställe, men simmade iväg upp längs ån när den fick nog av vårt sällskap. Vi uppskattar att den var ca 130 cm lång och ca 5 cm tjock. Enligt Didrik Vanhoenacker vid Naturhistoriska riksmuseet är det sannolitkt en snok, baserat på de foton vi tog. Logga gärna om ni ser den!
Tips: följ vägen in till Russvätar. Informationstavla finns. Om ni vill kommer ni ända till Torsburgen, till fots eller med cykel. Väljer ni den andra vägen genom reservatet (lite närmare mot Gammelgarn) kommer ni istället till Herrgårdsklint! Båda värda ett besök!

English: A beautiful little bridge by the road between Gammelgarn and Ardre, and the nature reserve Russvätar. Planning this cache we also discovered another attraction: in the stream below the bridge lives a huge snake! It was sunbathing half in the water just metres from our planned hiding place, but swam upstream when it had had enough of our company. We estimate the snake is about 130 cm long and about 5 cm thick. According to Didrik Vanhoenacker at the Swedish Museum of Natural History it is probably a grass snake, based on our photos. Please log any updates on the snake!
Suggestion: follow the road through the forest to the nature reserve Russvätar. There is information and a map on site. If you want you can follow it all the way to Torsburgen, by foot or by bike. If you take the other road through the reserve, the one closer to Gammelgarn, you will end up in Herrgårdsklint instead! Both worth the visit!
