Beauty Poll: How Do You Feel About Overdrawn Lip Liner?

For the record, generally Gwen Stefani can do no wrong in my beauty book. With that said, I'm not sure I can co-sign on this particular look (rhyme totally unintended):

Her lipstick/lip liner is seriously overdrawn. Here's a close-up:

I understand that bigger lips are quite desirable, but there has to be a better way to go about it. I'm not advocating lip plumping injections in any way, but perhaps trying this doohickey that Beth tested a couple of years back would help... Or maybe adding a layer of plumping gloss on top of her red lipstick would give her pout the fuller illusion she's after?

But I could be all on my lonesome with this one, as I naturally have super full lips, so I don't know what it's like to want an even bigger pout. What about you? What's your take on obviously exaggerated lips? When wearing lip liner, do you keep it within the natural outline of your lips, or do you draw over the line, too?
