Girls Aloud will not split up after they've finished their tenth anniversary UK tour, Kimberley Walsh insists.

The singer said that although they do not have any plans to release a full album of new material in the pipelines, none of the girls will ever leave the band completely.

"I don't think we're ever going to split up," she told BBC Newsbeat. "I don't think any of us know what's going to happen after the tour. That's as far as we've planned for now."

However, Cheryl Cole contradicted Walsh's claims in her new autobiography, in which she claims the band planned to call time after the tour was over. "Cheryl wrote the book a long time ago," Walsh said. "She obviously wrote it before any of the music, before we had anything in place."

When she was asked to clarify the girls' plans after the tour, Walsh replied: "I think we'll see where we're at then. "Whether we go back to doing our solo projects for a while, then come back together again… we'll see how it goes and leave it open. "We're in a really privileged position where we can be like, 'Let's do that for while, let's do that for while.' It's the Take That way - it works really well."

Girls Aloud will release Something New on 19 November 2012. Their greatest hits album, Ten, will follow on 26 November 2012.

Girls Aloud will reportedly release a brand new single next month, the first time for three years. According to The Mirror, the girl group - who are celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2012 - are thought to have reunited yesterday to film a video for their comeback track. A source said: "The girls recorded tracks with their long-time collaborators Xenomania as early as May this year." "Some of them recorded their vocals separately, so they didn't actually see each other that much during the process. Obviously, Nadine [Coyle] has been pretty estranged from the group during their time off, too... But on Tuesday, all five were together to film the video for their big return song, which is due out next month. The mole added: "It was the last possible opportunity they would all have to get together in time for the release, as Cheryl has been busy rehearsing for her tour and Kimberley's training schedule for Strictly has been getting more and more intense." News of the reunion comes after Nicola Roberts previously revealed that the girls would be marking their 10th anniversary in some way this November. Meanwhile, Cheryl Cole has also hinted at possible new Girls Aloud lyrics. During an interview in August, the former X Factor star rather ambiguously stated, "I just wanna dance", which could be interpreted as some new lyrics from the band's comeback track. https://www.mirror.co.uk/lifestyle/going-out/music/girls-aloud-reunion-all-five-are-back-1357144

On 14 May 2012, we wrote...Girls Aloud are reportedly set to make their comeback by releasing this year's Children In Need single.

The girl group, who released their last studio album Out Of Control in 2008, confirmed that they were reforming after singer Nadine Coyle said that they would reunite for an arena tour in 2013 to celebrate their 10-year anniversary.

The Northern Irish star also hinted that the fivesome could release new material soon, too.

A source close to the band apparently told a British tabloid that they were offered the opportunity to record the charity track last month.

"The plan is to release it in November. It is looking like it will be an original song. Bosses think it will be the perfect comeback hit as well as helping a good cause," the mole said.

If the band do release the track this year, it will be the group's second charity single for Children In Need, after they covered The Pretenders' classic I'll Stand By You in 2004.

On 5 March 2012, we wrote...Nadine Coyle has confirmed that Girls Aloud are planning a reunion tour and set to record new material. The Northern Irish singer has revealed that the band will perform shows across the country at the beginning of next year to celebrate their tenth anniversary as a group. Speaking to Dean Piper at Elton John's Oscar party in LA, Coyle said: "It's time to come back. At the end of the year it would have been ten years and it feels like the right time to regroup. I know everyone's been speculating about what we will do. It will be arena dates at the start of next year and we will have new music to go with it. "One or two singles I would think. It depends on how well it goes with the tour announcement. If things work well, there's enough demand and we're all in the same head space as a band then who knows what could happen. "I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the girls. It's been a long time since we've all been in the same room together. But the truth is there's no big problem with me and the girls. I've been living here and not been home much and I have a life here now." Coyle's admission comes after there were high expectations that the group would make a comeback this year, although Nicola Roberts previously announced that the plans had been delayed. Speaking about her bandmates, Coyle said: "I've been really worried about Sarah and I'm glad to see she's getting better... I'm thrilled Kimberley's doing well on the West End and Cheryl and Nicola are working hard on their music. "Everyone was so keen to put Cheryl and me against each other - but we just weren't enemies. We are very different people musically, that's all." The 26-year-old singer also touched on her solo material, saying that was "proud" of her solo efforts and that releasing music was "never about chart positions". STYLE WARS: CHERYL V NADINE

On 26 September 2011, we wrote...Girls Aloud are allegedly planning a reunion farewell tour to mark their tenth anniversary next year.

The band are hoping to complete a three-week tour of the UK, which will reportedly end at Wembley Stadium and will feature some of the biggest female artists as support acts.

The girls are also apparently looking at other possibilities, including an ITV2 behind-the-scenes documentary, an Audience With… show and a new greatest hits album featuring some new tracks.

The news comes after the band's manager Hilary Shaw announced in April that all five girls will perform together next year.

"The early talk is a short three-week tour towards the end of the year, finishing at Wembley," a source said. "The Wembley Stadium idea is to get a few of the hottest girlbands and female performers like Leona Lewis, The Saturdays and Alexandra Burke on board and bill it as Ladies' Night, with them headlining. "It would be a good way for the band to pretty much say goodbye - maybe forever. If it doesn't come off fans will definitely get the chance to see all five singing together again."
