It can sometimes be disconcerting to discover certain Irish sports. The latter are sometimes complex to grasp, and come from mixtures of other, often better-known, existing sports. For example, you may find that hurling is similar to field hockey and baseball… As for Gaelic soccer, it’s a sort of fusion between classic soccer and rugby…

In short, it’s not easy to find your way around, not to mention the rules, which easily vary from one sport to another!

Nevertheless, the Irish are particularly attached to their sports. They alone symbolize Irish culture and history!
