Darleen's Spinal Surgery and Physical Therapy

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

Darleen Ullom recently had an accident that put her in the hospital without control of her right arm or leg. She had back surgery to remove bone spurs and alleviate arthritus that was constricting her spinal chord and pressing on the nerves. While she has full feeling, she currently has very limited use and strength in her right arm and leg. After a week in the surgical ICU, she needs more than a month in a skilled nursing facility and hours of physical therapy every day before she can be discharged home. She has a long road ahead of her to regain full use of her arm, while the costs of her surgery and ongoing care is accumulating.
