Help Alee fight Stevens Johnson Syndrome

Donation protected
Alee woke up on October 23rd with the most painful headache, tongue blisters/lesions 100-105 fever, red rash like spots, sore throat and puffy eyes. Having all flu like symptoms, she went to the hospital knowing something was wrong but did not expect the worst. The red spots suggested it could possibly be measles, however the doctor confirmed it wasn't. Within days Alee's small red spots turned into blisters and began to peel and detach. Her lips had major sores and mouth developed lesions. Alee now looks like a burn victim...her skin is shedding and dying. She has been fighting for her life for 16 days now. Alee was diagnosed with a very rare, but life threatening condition called Stevens Johnson Syndrome (SJS). SJS is a serious disorder of your skin and mucous membranes which causes a painful rash and blisters all over the body. Recovery from this condition can take weeks to months. Many cases of SJS are caused by an allergic reaction to a certain medication. Which, in Alee’s case, Lamotrigine was the cause of this nightmare. This medication is used to treat bi-polar disorder/seizures and she was prescribed this to take this by her psychiatrist. All she was wanting improvement in was her mental health. Knowing this now, we are wanting justice for what this medication has caused Alee. Not only are the medical expenses piling up, but she is fighting to bring awareness for this malpractice. Please help Alee, in firstly, getting the medical recovery and therapy she needs, and secondly, bringing awareness to the causes of Stevens Johnson Syndrome and bringing responsibility for those medical professionals who wrongly prescribe patients. She is being treated at Medical City Plano ICU burn unit in Plano, Texas. We would greatly appreciate any and all donations, may God bless you greatly for doing so. If you know Alee, you know that she lights up people's lives and always has a smile on her face. She is such brave person, and she is determined to not let this disease win. Keep Alee in your prayers, she is a true fighter.
