Earlier this month, Anthony Kiedis fell sick with a serious stomach flu and was forced to cancel several Red Hot Chili Peppers shows. Thankfully, the 53-year-old is on the mend. Kiedis told ET Canada that his hospitalization was a blessing in disguise as it inspired him to reevaluate his health. That it also forced him to reevaluate the shag haircut he’s been sporting for the last several years is maybe a stretch, but the rocker did just make a big change there as well. Yesterday Kiedis’s hairstylist, Paul Rizzo, gave the frontman a kind of reverse mullet (or an extreme undercut, depending on how you look at it), shaving just the back of his head.

As we’ve said many times before, a shaved head is always a good way to hit the reset button on hair that’s holding you back, requires too much upkeep, or, okay, fine, represents a phase of your life that you're ready to say goodbye to.
