Chevy Debuts Special Edition Corvette

Chevrolet recently introduced the 2022 Corvette Stingray IMSA GTLM Championship Edition at the Raceway at Belle Isle Park. Taking after the No. 3 and No. 4 Corvette C8.R race cars, this stylish model celebrates the inaugural season of the mid-engine Corvette C8.R.

Corvette Racing dominated IMSA’s sports car championship series in 2020. It won six races, having the fastest class race laps in six different events. And Chevrolet earned its 13th GT Manufacturers title since 2001.

Based on the Corvette 3LT with the Z51 Performance Package, the 2022 Corvette Stingray IMSA GTLM Championship Edition stands out with Corvette Racing-themed graphics packages, yellow brake calipers, black side rockers, Black Trident design wheels, a High-wing spoiler in Carbon Flash, and more. Hypersonic Gray No. 4 editions come with yellow accents, while Accelerate Yellow No. 3 editions include gray graphics.

On the inside, the car has a Strike Yellow and Sky Cool Gray design, complete with a C8.R Special Edition numbered plaque and yellow seat belts. GT2 seats come standard, but you can also opt for Competition Sport seats. And you’ll get a custom-fitted indoor car cover that matches the car’s color scheme.
