Environmental efforts

Moltkes Palace was awarded Green Key in 2023.

Moltkes Palace is a unique venue, where past and present meets with respect for both nature and humans. The historic palace from 1702 is certified with eco-label Green Key. This means we make an extra effort to protect the planet and we follow all the guidelines from Green Key. Each coworker at Moltkes Palces makes an effort to convert our goals to action.

In 2021, they were awarded the Food Administration's Bronze Label. This means that 30%-60% of ingredients are organic.

The place collaborates with local Danish suppliers, and with an increasing focus on sustainability, we are working to increase our use of local organic produce. We believe that fresh, organic produce, grown at its own natural pace, provides the best taste and quality, and with a reduced environmental burden.

The chefs are working on minimizing our food waste by customizing the menus to the number of guests. We offer vegetarian/vegan options to our guests.

Moltkes Palace buys white goods certified with A+ rating or higher to minimize our energy and water consumption. Our cleaning agents and toiletries are eco-labeled with either the Nordic Swan or the EU ecolabel.
