A Black Tartarian type, Mona Cherry is a delightful way to start sweet cherry season. Its glossy red to dark fruits ripen in late June, earlier than many other sweet cherry varieties. The large, firm fruits have red to dark red flesh that is sweet, mild-flavored and superior to many other varieties. It's tops for fresh eating. Mona Cherry requires another sweet cherry for pollination, and we recommend Stella, Compact Stella or Early Ruby. Requires 600 chill hours. Cold hardy zone 6.

We continually monitor weather conditions for extreme hot or cold and adjust shipping schedules as needed. Due to hot weather conditions, we are unable to ship most plant items in July and August. Items that are overweight will require an additional shipping charge depending on weight.

Trees and shrubs are kept in the nursery row until full dormant for optimum stress protection.

In all cases, we choose the fastest, most efficient way to send your orders via the U.S. Postal Service or FedEx. Large orders or large items may be shipped to you in multiple packages.
