The organization of the D1 Special championship has a dual objective, in addition to the resumption of football activities which have come to a halt in the country over the last three years due to the security climate, this championship will also allow the return of clubs Haitians in the Champions League of the Confederation of North, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF). The competition will be organized in a particular format where the clubs will be divided into three regional groups as follows: North / Center Group : ASC, FICA, REAL HOPE ACADEMY, OUANAMINTHE FC, RACING FC West / South Group : VIOLETTE AC, HAITIAN RACING CLUB, CAVALY SC, AMERICA FC, JUVENTUS Artibonite Group : STORM FC, BALTIMORE SC, TRIUMPH, COSMOPOLITES, USR. At the end of the first round, the first two of the three groups will advance to the final phase where they will be divided into two other groups of three. At the end of this second round, the first of these groups will directly win their tickets for the next edition of the CONCACAF Champions League. Then, the two runners-up in groups will compete in a play-off to determine Haiti's third representative in the most prestigious CONCACAF competition at club level.
