Green stems and red leaves, a refreshing, mildly spiced mustard green with beautiful, plume-edged foliage.

Excellent variety for microgreen, babyleaf and mature leaf production as the red coloring is exhibited prominently at all stages of growth. The mild flavor allows it to be included in salads and in other raw preparations, imparting a sweetness and moderate spice. The delicate appearance of the leaves is protected by the sturdy growth habit of the plants. From our partners at CN Seeds. A portion of the sales of this variety is paid to the breeder - learn more here. 20,000 seeds/oz.

CULTURAL INFO:

Most Brassica greens are moderately hardy annuals that can be sown from early spring through midsummer. Commonly grown as baby leaf for salad mixes in the US, and also traditionally grown for full size leaves in ethnic cuisine or stir-fry and pickled. Light cooking dispels mustard heat to reveal a very sweet and full flavor. Direct seed as soon as soil can be worked. Sow every 3 weeks into fall for a continuous harvest. Harvest leaves as desired. Use floating row cover when planting to protect from flea beetles.
