Hofbräu Original

Elegant and delicately flavorful

HB Bier Original

Our bottom-fermented Hofbräu Original embodies the unique atmosphere of Munich, the beer capital, like no other. It rightfully bears the title of Munich Helles (g.g.A). Its full-bodied, slightly malty taste with a refined finish has made it world-famous. Its rich and exceptionally mature taste provides a sophisticated bitterness in the finish. Light malt notes and a delicate hop aroma create a harmonious interplay. Rich and exceptionally mature taste. Sophisticated bitterness in the finish. A beer with character!

Perfectly complements our homemade roast pork, sausages, cheeses, salads, potato, and dumpling dishes.

Hofbräu Dunkel

Malty and hoppy.

HB Bier Dunkel

Hofbräu Dunkel is a bottom-fermented dark beer that can be considered the original Bavarian beer in the “Munich style.” It has a roasted malt flavor, hoppy notes, and a subtle malt sweetness in the finish. Dark beer existed in Bavaria long before the Helles style. In fact, it was the Dunkel that was first brewed at the “Braunes Hofbräuhaus” when it was founded in the year 1589. A beer with genuine Munich tradition!

Perfectly complements…

Goes well with Hofbräuhaus cuisine, especially roasts, smoked meats and sausage dishes.

Hofbräu Münchner Weisse

Refreshing and effervescent

HB Bier Münchner Weisse

Once, brewing wheat beer (Weißbier) was a privilege exclusive to the ducal court. For nearly 200 years, Hofbräuhaus held this exclusive right, establishing a virtual monopoly on wheat beer in Bavaria. It’s no wonder that Hofbräu München has mastered the art of brewing Weißbier so well. The top-fermented beer “Münchner Weisse” is a secret tip for all wheat beer enthusiasts who appreciate its lively and effervescent taste.

Perfectly complements…

Pairs well with our delicious homemade white sausages, fish dishes, pork knuckles, poultry, asparagus, and mild cheese.

Hofbräu seasonal beers

Hofbräu Winterzwickl

Hofbräu Winterzwickl

Unique malt aroma

A bottom-fermented dark beer specially brewed for the cold season: Our unfiltered winter beer specialty is refined with caramel malt. Resulting in a robust taste with subtle hints of caramel, chocolate, and a delicate roasted malt note. The hop varieties Perle and Herkules create a harmonious balance.

Perfectly complements…

The Hofbräu Winterzwickl pairs exceptionally well with hearty winter dishes, but also complements our homemade Kaiserschmarrn deliciously.

Hofbräu Sommerzwickl

Hofbräu Sommerzwickl

Refreshing and aromatic

Deliciously refreshing and aromatic, the Hofbräu Sommerzwickl is the perfect beer for hot summer days. Our naturally cloudy beer specialty delights thirsty palates with its drinkability and fine effervescence. Brewed as a bottom-fermented beer with delicate fruity notes.

The Hofbräu Sommerzwickl is an ideal companion to our Hofbräuhaus Brotzeitteller, Obazda, or a fresh radish plate.

Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier

Hofbräu Oktoberfest beer

Full-bodied and slightly bitter

The bottom-fermented Hofbräu Oktoberfest beer with an alcohol content of 6.3% Vol. presents itself festively with a fine, shiny, strong golden hue and a rich foam crown. Its bouquet is malty and with a subtle hop aroma. Hofbräu Oktoberfest beer impresses with a smooth, full-bodied, and drinkable taste, along with a slightly hoppy and floral finish. As unique as the Oktoberfest itself.

Perfectly complements…

This particularly full-bodied specialty beer pairs wonderfully with our cuisine during the WirtshausWiesn at Hofbräuhaus: With roast pork, pork knuckles, Bavarian snack platters, roast chicken, radish, and cheeses like Emmental.

Hofbräu Maibock

Hofbräu Maibock

Malt-forward and subtly bitter

Our Hofbräu Maibock is the oldest pale bock beer in Munich, impressing with its unmistakable malt aroma. This is achieved with high-quality Munich malt and pale barley malt. It has a robust bouquet and a smooth finish. As a balance, Hallertauer hops Magnum and Perle lend the bottom-fermented strong beer a gentle character. The taste begins with strong malt notes and finishes with a velvety smoothness and pleasant hop bitterness.

Perfectly complements…

Pairs well with: Cold platters with sausages and cheese, all kinds of desserts, roasted dishes, pork knuckles, and goulash.

Bavarian tradition prepared by master hands all homemade at the Hofbräuhaus

Popular classics like roast pork, pork knuckle, suckling pig, sausages, liver dumplings, sauerkraut, our vegetarian cheese spaetzle, and all soups and sauces are freshly prepared daily by our own butchers and kitchen masters. Each loaf of bread is baked by our in-house master bakers, while the desserts such as Bavarian cream, Kaiserschmarrn, and apple strudel are lovingly prepared by our pastry chefs. At Munich’s Hofbräuhaus, great emphasis is placed on freshness and quality. Regional products are everything!

Fresh produce and short transportation distances are crucial! That’s why almost all ingredients come from the region: potatoes from local farmers, meat from Bavaria, salad from Munich gardeners, and flour from the Hofbräuhaus Mill right next door.

Short transportation distances contribute to our good quality and help conserve resources.
