Washington – Fourth generation home textiles executive Louis “Tripp” Hornick III shared insights about on-shoring of U.S. manufacturing at a business summit here yesterday.

Hornick, vp of LHSC Inc., took part in the SelectUSA Investment Summit hosted by Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross. Hornick discussed best practices and strategies for entering the U.S. market.

“The U.S. Department of Commerce, in particular the SelectUSA team, performs tremendous work for the good of the American economy and American people,” said Hornick.

LHSC Inc. has been manufacturing curtains, drapery, window treatments and home textiles from its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in South Carolina since 2013. The Hornick family has been producing home goods since 1918; the company is led by president Louis Hornick II, Tripp Hornick’s father.

“We have an unparalleled ability to react to the omni-channel retail landscape by deploying a hybrid supply chain,” Hornick added. “Being closest to innovation and critically to POS by manufacturing in the U.S., LHSC offers cost-savings over ready-made imports from China, India and Pakistan and, obviously, superior quality.”
