As the Alocasia Longiloba tends to be of compact growth, it is also ideal for smaller homes. The bluish-green leaves of this species have decorative silvery veining and have given the plant the nickname elephant ear due to its characteristic shape.
The product photos show examples of the plant. You will receive a specimen that matches the product photos in size, shape and colouring.

Ben's tips on plant care:

• Habitat/light requirements: partial shade or bright, indirect sunlight
• Substrate: Ben's Babyplant Soil, special soil, later Ben's Syngonium & Alocasia Soil
• Temperature: optimal at 18-22° C (day), 12-15° C (night)
• Watering: Keep soil moist, but avoid waterlogging, ideally water with rainwater that is not too cold and has a low lime content.
• Humidity: needs high humidity, place in bathroom or use humidifier
• Nutrient addition: in spring/summer every 3 weeks with organic fertiliser. Liquid fertiliser
• Grows fast, annual repotting in February/March is recommended.
• Ensure high humidity, ideally spray the plant once a week. It is better to cut off any flowers on young plants, otherwise the plant can rot easily.
