Flower: Purple tubular shaped
Leaves: 3 to 6 per plant, light green, basal rosette, blades oval to elliptic, ¾ to 2 inches long, edges curled inward, surface covered with sticky hairs
Fruit/Seed:ovoid capsule, ¼ to 1/3 inch long, stub of style persisting at tip
Height: 1-6 inches
Flowering: June - July
Habitat: cold, wet cliffs and ledges, mossy boulders, rocky shores
Other: This is a carnivorous plant that traps and digests insects on its sticky leaves
