Flower: Yellow daisy-like
Leaves: 2½ to 7 inches long, ¾ to 4 inches wide, rounded or slightly tapering at base, rough textured on upper surface, densely short-hairy and paler in color on underside
Fruit/Seed: head of dry seed, each seed ¼ inch long
Height: 2-6 feet
Flowering: July - September
Habitat: open woods, woodland edges, roadsides
