Bigg Boss 16 was wrapped on Sunday, and MC Stan was declared the winner (February 12). His surprising triumph raised our focus to several show's title holders, who had previously been overlooked.

Some have been able to capitalize on their success after appearing on Bigg Boss, but some have failed.

Ashutosh Kaushik, the winner of the second season of Bigg Boss, is one of them.

In 2007, Ashutosh initially gained widespread recognition with his participation in the hit reality show Roadies 5. He became a household name after he won the action-based series.

After this, in 2008, he competed in and won Bigg Boss 2, making him the winner of both competitions.

Despite winning two reality shows, Ashutosh is hard to trace in the entertainment industry.

Even though he is no longer active in the film or television industry, he keeps his dhabas running in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, his hometown. In an interview with an English news publication, Ashutosh once stated that he couldn't handle the success that he got quickly without struggling in the entertainment industry.

As a result, he couldn't use it to his benefit.

When Ashutosh was arrested for DUI while riding his motorcycle in 2009, he found himself in hot water.

He also had his driving privileges revoked for the same reason. An altercation in a pub in 2013 in which he was suspected of being involved was also reported.

In 2021, Ashutosh went to court to use his "right to be forgotten" and to have some negative images, videos, and articles removed from the internet.

Talking to BT, he had said, "As I stated in my petition, despite my success on the silver screen, I have been suffering psychological pain for my diminutive acts that were erroneously committed a decade ago."

In an interview with Hindustan Times in 2021, Ashutosh said,

“Roti ki koi dikkat nahin hai. In fact, we feed people at my dhabas. I also do shows for news channels in Noida from time to time. If I get a call from Mumbai for any project, I go shoot and return. I am also developing the entertainment industry. I have many shoot equipment and published local content on my Youtube channel and Facebook page. I have also made films and shows in my town, giving a chance to local talent. I am a one-man army and handle everything from production to acting to direction and whatnot (laughs). Naye bachchon ko chance deta hoon sab department mein. Today it is a digital world, and one doesn’t need to be in Mumbai to have a successful career. In fact, many can’t go to Mumbai or survive there.”

During the lockdown in April 2020, Ashutosh got married. The small ceremony happened at his Noida house.
