Vivek Oberoi is highest paid Bollywood actor in South after Vivegam

Vivek Oberoi made his debut in Tamil with the film Vivegam, which stars Ajith in the lead role. Though the film wasn't as commercially successful as expected, it still managed to become a hit at the box office.

However, the film has worked to someone's benefit: Vivek Oberoi has become a sought-after actor in the South after the release of Vivegam.

Vivek was familiar to the Tamil and Telugu audiences through Ram Gopal Varma's Raktha Charitra (which was dubbed in Tamil and Telugu), and Vivegam has made him more popular in the South now.

Reports say that he has been roped in for Mohanlal's upcoming film Lucifer, which is going to be directed by actor Prithviraj. Rumours suggest that Vivek has become the highest paid Hindi actor in the South.

Similarly, Vivek also seems to have taken a liking to the South. He recently took to Twitter to wish Ajith Kumar for successfully completing 26 years in Tamil cinema.

It has to be noted that when Tamil Nadu was affected by the tsunami in 2004, Oberoi came forward to help the victims. However, due to many reasons, he had to drop his work and left for another seaside village in Pondicherry.
