In another tweak to its menu, Frisch's Big Boy Restaurants is expanding its popular breakfast bar service on Wednesdays to dinner time, calling the offering "Brupper."

Every Wednesday in June, Frisch's will open its breakfast bar for dinner from 4 to 9 p.m. to customers for $8.59. The Walnut Hills-based chain has been testing the concept in Louisville and is rolling it out in Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus and Lexington.

“It’s fun to have breakfast for supper, and it’s even more fun when you call it Brupper,” said Frisch's CEO Jason Vaughn. "We thought this idea would be successful, but we were very pleased with the results when we tested it.”

Ninety percent of Americans say they sometimes eat breakfast for dinner, according to a national poll by ORC International. Of those surveyed, more than half say they enjoy breakfast for dinner at least once a month.
