Get ready to travel! Easter holidays are just around the corner and one of the best ways to take advantage of them is by traveling and getting to know new places, whether alone, with family or with friends.

One of the most sought-after destinations during this time is the historic city of Ayacucho. This is not only because of its beautiful scenery and delicious food, but also because it is a place with many festivities and traditions during these days, such as its emblematic processions.

If you are planning to head to the historic city during Easter, in the following article we will tell you everything about ticket prices, food stay and what tourist places you can visit in the region.

COST OF AIR AND GROUND PASSES

If you want to visit the historic city during Easter holidays, you should know that bus tickets can cost up to S/. 230 soles due to the dates. While an average cheap plane ticket costs approximately S/. 510 soles.

PRICE TO VISIT THE MOST FAMOUS TOURIST PLACES

-Turquoise Waters of Millpu: It is one of the most beautiful destinations in the country, so its popularity has been growing every year. The trip there lasts 4 hours, you can go by bus that costs approximately S/. 50 soles or hire a tour that lasts a total of 12 hours and takes you a tour through all the views of the natural pools for S/.95 soles.

-Pampa de Ayacucho or Quinoa: It is a historical sanctuary that remembers those who fought in the Battle of Ayacucho. It is also considered one of the best points for taking panoramic photos because it is located 3396 meters above sea level and 37 km northwest of the city of Huamanga. It can be reached by taxi, by own car or hire a tour that includes the trip and a guide who tells you the history of the place, this usually costs S/. 25 soles approximately.

-Waterfalls of Cangallo: These are mythical waterfalls that according to popular tradition have a high concentration of positive and magnetic energy. They are located about 1 hour by car. You can get there by driving or hiring a tour that costs S/. 89 soles per person and lasts 11 hours. It includes transportation, a guide, visit to the waterfalls, the Huahuapuquio pool, time for lunch and finally visit the historic city of Cangallo. You walk about 2 hours to visit the landscape and take pictures.

-Titancayoq: This is the largest Raimondi puja forest in Peru. It is located at 4200 meters above sea level and has 2,270 hectares. It is located south of the city of Ayacucho at kilometer 101 of the road to Vilcashuamán, there you will find signs that will indicate the entrance to the forest. The journey takes an average of 2 hours. The entrance to the archaeological complex costs S/. 2 soles

-Temple of San Cristóbal and Santa Teresa Monastery: It was built in 1540 and is the smallest and oldest in the city of Ayacucho. It is located in front of a cloistered monastery of the Carmelite mothers. Its beautiful architecture, like that of the rest of the churches in this city, make it one of the places that you definitely cannot miss. You can hire a city tour that costs S/. 39 soles and lasts 5 hours. This will take you through both temples, then you will visit the Valdelirios Mall and the Arches of the Independencias, continue with the Acuchimay viewpoint that gives you a panoramic view of the city and concludes with a visit to the artisans' workshops to return to the city center.

COST OF HOTELS AND FOOD

In Ayacucho you can find hotels from S/. 70 soles and can reach S/. 450 a night in 3-star hotels because the month of April is high season in the city due to the famous religious celebrations that take place there. In addition, due to the large number of people moving to this region during this time, it has been reported that most hotels and accommodations are almost full.

When it comes to food, you can find local restaurants that charge from S/. 15 soles. While a meal in a mid-range restaurant serving traditional local food can cost approximately S/. 70 soles in a meal for two people where two to three dishes are consumed.
