The product is very thixotropic, has a good adhesion and may be varnished with the common lacquer systems. After application a closed and elastic film with excellent corrosion and rock impact protection will be formed. Application: Elaskon Steinschlagschutz schwarz is sprayable with any UBC-pistol. The optimum air pressure is at 3-5 bar. The surface must be clean, rust-free and dry. Shake well before use. If being varnished with synthetic resin lacquer the film must be dried as far as possible, for two-component and nitro lacquers completely dried. For two-component and nitro lacquers a thin first and a second layer after sufficient drying time. Product may be removed with solvents, such as white spirit, xylol or cold cleaning solvent. Application on bright, sandblasted surfaces without prior application of priming. Benefits: Surface can be varnished.
