Broad, prominent head with a distinct notch or frontal groove on male beetles. The antennae are seven-segmented, consisting of the basal pedicel, elongated scape, four-segmented funicle, and an enlarged club. Males lack mycangium on head but have a distinct frontal groove, and elevations or tubercles are more distinct; USA: Mississippi, Winston Co, Noxubee N.W. Refuge, 17-24 March 1997, R.A. Tisdale.
