Former Celebrity Big Brother star Chantelle Houghton proudly flashed her engagement ring in a sweet picture with fiancé Michael Strutt after admitting she'd invited her ex-husband Preston to her wedding.

Chantelle's time on the show in 2006 was cast into the spotlight this week in Big Brother 's Best Ever shows on Channel 4 - which looks back at iconic episodes from the series.

And on Friday she appeared on This Morning to discuss her time on the show and relationship with ex-husband Preston, who she had a whirlwind relationship with after they met in the CBB house.

Afterwards Chantelle, 36, shared the adorable snap of herself and Michael on Instagram, flashing her engagement ring as she presses her hand onto her chest.

It comes after she insisted that Ordinary Boys frontman Preston has been invited to the wedding, in an interview with Heat magazine.

She wrote with the snap: "Birthday celebrations are still in full swing...I love you my forever love #family #familytime #soulmate #always."

Chantelle has her long brunette locks held back in the snap with a blingy headband.

When asked if Preston was going to her upcoming wedding, she said: "He did ask, and I said yes, of course."

The Big Brother star recently revealed on Instagram Michael popped the question at the start of lockdown.

A source told MailOnline: "Chantelle and Michael have known each other for almost a decade. It hasn't exactly been a whirlwind romance between them.

"They've been friends for a long time now and Michael knows her mum well from being her neighbour.

"It's awkward for Michael's ex Sara who also lived there and knows Chantelle's family but they're trying to keep things amicable for their children."

Chantelle was told she could only stay on Celebrity Big Brother if she could convince her housemates she was actually the lead singer of fictional girlband Kandy Floss.

Before she walked through the door of the famous house, aged 22, Chantelle had just 80p in her bank account and she still lived with her mum and step-dad.

On the show she was tasked with trying to trick her Big Brother housemates she was a genuine star by performing Kandy Floss' single I Want It All.

On Friday Chantelle appeared on This Morning alongside fellow Big Brother stars Anthony Hutton and Nikki Grahame.

Speaking on the breakfast show Chantelle spoke about her time on the reality series, she said: "I hated it! I went into the house thinking there was going to be other non celebs in there it wasn't till I got in the house I knew what their plan was.

"A lot of people have asked me to bring that song out so maybe one day!"
