In process of restoration to Tokai Park, Rondevlei and Kenilworth Racecourse. Originally very restricted distribution on flats from Rondebosch to Wynberg and was last recorded from Kenilworth Racecourse where it became Extinct in the Wild due to development. Elsie Esterhuizen collected it from Kenilworth for Kirstenbosch in 1970 and subsequently another collection was found at the Belvedere Palace Gardens in Vienna where it has been grown for over 200 years.

small bushy Erica growing up to 350mm tall with clusters of pinkish-purple small flowers near the ends of branches. Flowers November to December
