I'm really surprised that a review hasn't been written for this pen. This has become my default all-purpose writing instrument which, if you knew me, is saying a lot. There are very few writing instruments that exist today that I don't own, haven't tested or couldn't evaluate just on the specifications alone. I typically carry on my person or in my bag: (2-3) 0.7 mm Pencils, (1) 0.5 mm pencil, (1) 2mm pencil, (2) Rollerballs, (2) Fountain pens, (1) Ballpoint and (1) Fiber tipped pen - and this is when I am carrying light. I use everything from my Pelikan M805 to Pentel Mechanical pencils. I find the Copic 0.5 mm Multiliner to be smooth writing, writes on anything (even a credit card signature line), non fade, quick drying and so far extremely resilient given it's fiber tip. I've used it for 6+ months and either carry this or my Pelikan M805 for regular carry.

An excellent pen. I compared it to my old standard, the 0.5 Prismacolor Premier Fine Line Marker, and was surprised to find that the line was an even deeper, more saturated black, and smoother too. The Copic is a lot more expensive (like 3x) than the Prismacolor, but given that it works better, and it's refillable, and that 0.5 Prismacolors are getting hard to find, this one pretty much sets the new standard.

The aluminum barrel feels solid and more comfortable in my hand than other fine line markers I've tried in the past. The nib feels sturdy and the ink flows well on both vellum and hot pressed watercolor paper. Once dry, I experienced no bleeding adding watercolor or marker on top of my marks. The .5 mm made a nice "medium" weight line that was distinguishable from the .1 mm and the .7 mm.
