I think those are called Indian Pipe as their common name. They are a flower but often confused as a mushroom. What makes this specific plant unique is that it is a flower but does not consist of chlorophyll. That is a great shot, these are actually some of my favorite flowers. Posted 8 years ago

The plant is sometimes completely waxy white, but often has black flecks or pale pink coloration. Rare variants may have a deep red color.
