    1. Actually, I need to thank you! I'd never paid much attention to lichens before and certainly never tried to ID any. But with the flowers and insects gone for the winter, I suddenly realized there was an untapped source of new species for JD! There are 3 good guidebooks on French lichens, and I've been having fun with them since! Posted 7 years ago

A corticolous lichen, foliose, its grey lobes with long marginal cilia and usually with helmet-like soralia at the tips.
