Physcia pumilior - Rosette Lichen
Foliose, pale gray-green lichenized fungus with flat, black apothecia (with gray-green collars). Apothecia are disc-like structures which contain spores. Physcia species are within the family Physciaceae and are considered lichen-forming fungi. Lichens are composite organisms comprised of a fungus being inhabited by algae or cyanobacteria.

On a hardwood branch at the top of a ridge in a dense mixed hardwood/coniferous forest in Northwest Georgia (Gordon County), US
