Appearance

It grows to between 1 and 2 meters high and has narrow leaves that are about 5 to 10 mm long and 1 to 3 mm wide. The flowers, which are white or pink, appear between October and November in the species native range.

Naming

The species was first formally described by German botanist Diederich von Schlechtendal in ''Linnaea'' in 1847.
