Tennessee baseball pitching ace Chad Dallas is known as Cheese, and, yes, there's a goofy explanation behind it.

The 1995 Disney classic "A Goofy Movie" was one of Dallas' childhood favorites. And in particular, he latched onto the character he described as the cool kid voiced by Pauly Shore — and his love for Cheez Whiz.

The character, named Bobby, carried around a bottle of spray cheese and frequently yelled "Cheddar!" when eating it.

The young Dallas picked up the habit and the nickname "Cheese" developed.
