The unique greatness of Moses Malone (Video)

One dry Sunday afternoon back in May, I tried to search for a Moses Malone jersey online. Doesn’t sound too crazy, does it? He’s one of the greatest players the game has ever seen and the main reason why the Sixers won their last title in 1983, so he must have plenty of memorabilia online. Right???

Wrong. A search for a Malone jersey on Amazon brings up two actual results before devolving into crap and Karl Malone threads. Meanwhile, a search for a “White Chocolate” Jason Williams produces enough results that you need to keep refreshing the page. Keep in mind this was for a player who never made an all star game, not to mention that the teams that traded him usually got better after doing so.

That just isn’t right. I always knew Moses was underrated, but it’s reached a point where I knew I had to do something about it. People need to know how Moses Malone played, who he was as a basketball player.
