SLIB partage l'analyse de Labrador ! C'est pour cette raison, qu'avec l'ensemble des membres de #Votaccess, SLIB a décidé de proposer un partenariat aux sociétés spécialisées dans l'organisation du jour-J (#vote en séance par opposition au vote en pré-AG). La société Lumi Global, déjà pionnière dans un certain nombre de pays, a choisi de se lancer avec nous. La solution est prête pour les émetteurs qui souhaitent la proposer cette année en option (pour mémoire c'est la volonté de l'Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) – France de pousser à son essor depuis plus de 10 ans.) Pour que la solution soit pleinement opérationnelle, deux aménagements de la loi ont été remontés par la voix de Richard ROGER au législateur. Il s'agit de la modification de la record date à J-7 et un encadrament légal en cas d'incident technique entrainant l'impossibilité de voter à distance pour un actionnnaire. Les émetteurs peuvent d'ores et déjà utiliser la solution (video, vote à distance sur résolutions standards ou nouvelles, Q&A) et nous les attendons. Nous pensons que cette technologie se généralisera avec le temps une fois les dispostions législatives prises. "FSB had its say, now it’s your turn", wrote Yun Kuan Ho in a recent article for POSTTRADE 360°. Financial Stability Board (FSB) both giving recommandations and waiting insights from the Non-Bank Financial Intermediation (NBFI) acts as a whistleblower to the financial system considering certain activities and type of entities, as “key amplifiers” more likely to contribute to aggregate liquidity imbalances. 📢 [Clearing derivatives] SLIB clearing solutions, enable clearers to connect and secure their activities in a large number of CCPs across EMEA and APAC, will be extended to support Euronext Clearing derivatives after the implementation of cash last year. 🚀 The new CCP will start to operate next July to clear financial derivatives traded on Euronext. This is an important milestone for the Euronext consolidation strategy in one single shop. SLIB is fully involved next to Euronext teams to meet the deadline despite a tight schedule to deliver the successful upgrade of its clearing solution to its clients moving from LCH SA to Euronext Clearing this summer.  For the occasion, our Risk Monitoring and margin call processing Solution integrates RiskMonitor, a Clarus Risk solution, to calculate the exposure of each individual client while replicating the CCP calculation in its own engine. Time for T ? English people are very picky on time, especially on tea time. It can’t be too early neither too late.  It’s the dilemma that we are facing with the incoming move to T+1 in US and the crucial question, when is it time for EU to make the move too ? European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has already provided the answer, giving a « not if but when » response to the doubtful Financial Community which sees the burden of a new regulation breakup as new episode of a never-ending series.  In a way, the world Financial market can’t run in too different cycles which gives a reason to the pros, to move and to remind, as mentioned by Pierre Davoust, that the idea doesn’t come from nowhere, aiming Gamestop, but from a real major issue which implies a real and strong response. The netting of transactions is a key element in the efficiency of the market to deliver packaged instructions rather than individuals. Given this evidence, from a settlement and risk ( margin call) perspective, it’s a real challenge to be able to anticipate the end of day cutoff by delivering as most as possible all confirmed transactions along the day but keeping the crucial netting level to ensure operational and delivery costs efficiency .    Only one conviction at this step, we will all have exciting debates to response to the “how and when” which are still pending for us.    EU will be able to learn from US even if it’s hard to make a parallel realizing that US market is obviously very differently organized, highly centralized, and most of all with revocable settlement instructions at the opposite of EU which makes mistakes costly as mentioned in the AFG ‘s response to European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA)‘s call for evidence last december.
