Good news! I will be teaching "TV Programming and Concepts" this summer at New York University Tisch School of the Arts starting in late May. The class will focus on the creation of program ideas and the development of treatment and presentations. We will also examine and discuss what it takes to put a network together, whether it is broadcast, basic cable, premium or OTT. And, we will have special screenings and great guest speakers. The New York University Tisch School of the Arts students were very lucky to have Kate Fisher, CBS's SVP of Communications and Talent Relations in charge of Specials, visit the class. Kate oversees the network's PR campaigns and talent initiatives for music specials and live events including the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Emmy Awards, the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League's Tony Awards and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's Golden Globes. It was a Masterclass for the New York University Tisch School of the Arts students as iconic entertainment Talent Manager, Producer and Hollywood Navigator Brian Medavoy "visited" the TV Nation class. “Curious” was effortlessly answered by top content strategy and acquisitions exec Jaclyn Rann Cohen when asked to describe herself in one word when she visited the New York University Tisch School of the Arts students. Jaci shared stories from her hugely successful career, which was honed at companies including Paramount, where she oversaw teams that built evergreen brands including Nickelodeon's TV Land and Nick at Nite.
