#Opportunity: Within my overarching research endeavors concerning Digital Democracy, I am presently directing attention towards global regulatory landscape concerning rising relevance of Digital Governance, last mile Public Service Delivery through digital means, and their cost to climate and social exclusion from government standpoint. I am eager to engage with fellow government officials, industry practitioners, and scholars working in the domain. Usually exclusion, climate and digital regulations are worked upon in silos, hence I want to engage in some fruitful chatham house format of online discussion to help each other. Just wanted to elevate this powerful reflection from Nathaniel Heller that should keep us humble and very focused as do-gooding transparency & accountability advocates. Nathaniel tell us: "my hunch is that part of the real cause of Global Integrity’s demise is the broader community’s failure to invest the time, funding, and intellectual capital into proving, more convincingly, that citizen engagement, anti-corruption efforts, and governance reforms lead to material changes in key development outcomes. That’s why there isn’t more money in the sector, in my opinion. I know I sound like a broken record about this. But having spent the past 4+ years advising donors, it’s still a hard sell for someone like me (who doesn’t need to be convinced of the intrinsic value of the work) to pitch mainstream anti-corruption/governance opportunities to donors who want to improve girls’ education, access to clean water, health outcomes, or environmental protection. The evidence base remains far too mixed, and the success stories remain anecdotal rather than replicable". This is also something that we see as core to our work at Open Contracting Partnership, as we build our evidence base on the millions (or even billions) of people we aspire to help through better procurement & gov spending (nice recent example of progress to that end here: https://lnkd.in/ebHWPsDN).

So important that organisations innovate responsibly and effectively navigate the wave of digital regulation that is coming.
